Purchasing Lures

Where can I buy your lures?

Right now there are 3 ways that you can order:

(3) Visit one of our Retailers

What are your operating hours?

You can call our toll free number at any time. If we don't answer please leave a message with your name and telephone number. If you're checking on the status of an order please leave the invoice number in your message. Our normal operating hours are as follows:

I only see 8-packs in your catalog, can I buy bulk?

We do offer bulk pricing at a discount from the 8-pack price but right now only a few items are available online because we do not stock 100-packs of every item. However, we can usually turn these out within a week or two so if you want a bulk order just give us a call.

The Free Samples site is not working, did you take it down?

I checked out the website and it seems to be working fine, try this link (Brown Lures Free Samples) and let me know if there are any more problems.

Shipping

If I order online how much does it cost to ship the lures?

This depends on how many items you purchase, but shipping typically runs from $6 to $10.

Can I pick up my order directly from the shop?

We are sorry but due to insurance reasons we cannot allow people to stop by the shop.

How long will it take to get my lures after I order?

We will ship the items via USPS Priority Mail as long as they are in stock. We typically ship in a few days or so and then your lures should arrive within 1-3 days after shipping.  Most orders are received about a week after ordering. Bulk orders can take longer so it’s best to call or email first.  If you need faster shipping or need to guarantee that you will have them in time for the weekend call 1-877-460-4619 or email shop@brownlures.com for more help.

Why can’t I find Corky’s on your site?

The Corky line of products are still available from B&L Manufacturing. To order them you can check out their website (www.CorkyBandL.com) or call 713-946-9188

Why can’t I find SOLO’s on your site?

Unfortunately we are not making the SOLO right now. Gamakatsu quit making the hook that we were using on it, so we have to start over from scratch on a new mold. Right now we are hoping to have the SOLO available this Summer.

How are Devil Eyes and Sea Devils different?

The Devil Eye is actually quite larger and more buoyant, it also seems to give fish a target to lock onto. Right now, the Devil Eye is by far the more popular lure.

Where can I get the "push-pin" jig heads?

We do not make the “push-pin” jigheads, they are just something that we like to use with our lures. Mustad makes one that is available in most Academy stores.

How do I use my coupon that I got off of a magazine/website?

If you saw an offer in one of our magazine ads or on a website make sure and look for the coupon code in the ad. It usually says something like “Use Code ‘Mail3’ in our store to save 10%”.  You can then either call and mention the coupon to us when ordering or enter this in the shopping cart online. After you have selected your lures and proceeded to "Checkout", when you get to the "Payment Method" screen there is a box (shown in the picture below) that says "Coupon Code". This is where you enter your code and your discount will be automatically applied.

Why can't I buy any of the lures I want on your website? Am I doing something wrong???

Nothing is wrong with your computer. We have been growing very rapidly lately and not all of our items are available online. We keep the website updated to match what inventory we have on hand, so if there is something specific you are looking for give us a call or try out one of our retailers.

Did the color change on the Amber Sea Devil?

Amber has changed slightly from what it used to be. It’s now more of a “new penny” color with a slight copper tone to it. We did this to differentiate it from our new Rootbeer color.

Where can I find Pearl with the Black Back?

Unfortunately, the Pearl/Black Back was a limited run color that we did back in 2008 and it is no longer available. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Do you make a paddle tail lure?

We are currently working on a paddle tail lure, keep an eye out for it spring or summer 2010.
